FEEDBACKS ABOUT THE AIRLINE (1)

The absolute worst flying experience I have ever encountered. Flying to Havana for me on this airline was totally fine, but on the way home it was horrendous.I`ll try to sum up all of my anger in frustration as succinctly as possible. At 7 AM our flight to Mexico City was cancelled. Not delayed, cancelled. They notified us we may be leaving sometime that night or the next morning. This is a bad news, but at least we could accept their plan. They took us to a horrible hotel at this point and left us there with no money for food and water. I am American so it is near impossible for me to get any money in Cuba. While we scavenged for food and water, we were notified that we would be meeting at 7 PM to go back to the airport that day. When we got back to the airport, through customs, and were sitting at our gate, we hear over the loud speaker that our plane is no longer leaving at 11:30. We have been delayed to 4 AM!! At this point we realize that there is no flight, but we are trapped as they have already taken our visas. They let us know that our plane likely won`t leave until Tuesday or Wednesday! I miraculously find one of the few seats on another airline out of Havana next day to my original connection destination. Others were not as lucky. Once in Mexico City I go to the Air Cubana office where I am notified that they will not be paying for my connecting flight or refunding my ticket. I`m not surprised at this point. They have proven how poorly they treat their customers, so I find a cheap Southwest flight back to America. 99% of the time no one deals with this on Air Cubana, but when you are the 1% of the time it goes wrong, it is a nightmare. I`m a college student looking for cheap deals and taking risky flights, but I would even say that Air Cubana is not worth it.
